The Riverside Inn
Stone-built riverside pub with Sunday roasts and a big beer garden.
4 Water Street, Stamford PE9 2NJ
The Riverside Inn sits on the edge of the Welland in Stamford — a 17th-century stone pub with an enormous beer garden, a proper Sunday roast, and a pair of resident spaniels who have their own Instagram following.
The kitchen does pub food done well: a short menu built around Lincolnshire produce, three roasts every Sunday, and an excellent Scotch-egg starter that has a small following of its own. Dog-friendly throughout; kids welcome until 20:00.
Rooms available upstairs — three en-suite doubles, kept plain, serviced daily. Free parking in the field behind the pub (busy on summer weekends; arrive early).
