Boston May Fair fills the town centre for eight days — fairground rides on Market Place, food stalls through the Saturday-market streets, and live music from the stage outside the Stump each evening.
The fair traces its charter back to 1573, making it one of the oldest in England. Modern-era highlights include the Saturday parade, the Wednesday wristband-day for unlimited rides, and the Friday-evening fireworks over the Haven.
Parking in town is tight across Fair week — Park & Ride from the Princess Royal car park runs every 15 minutes, and the train from Sleaford and Grantham drops you a 3-minute walk from the main stage.
